Panasonic PT-REZ12BU8 Overview

Enjoy high contrast, long life, and low maintenance with the PT-REZ12BU 12,000-Lumen WUXGA DLP Laser Projector from Panasonic. With 12,000 ISO lumens, 24/7 operation, IP5X dust protection, and integrated professional software, the REZ12 series is ideal for live events, higher education and corporate conference centers, retail spaces, museums, and more.

This model ships with a 1.36 to 2.10:1 standard throw lens, and has a selection of separately available lenses to cover different size and distance applications. Input connectivity is available via HDMI, DisplayPort, and an Intel SDM-compatible upgradeable slot. The REZ12 series comes equipped with a full suite of professional features and software; combined with 360° orientation support, the PT-REZ12BU is ready to simplify the trickiest installations. An Ethernet LAN connection is available for integration and control, including NFC function, and Wi-Fi is available with an optional adapter (sold separately).

High-Contrast and Diverse Content Support
New scene-recognition circuitry and a higher 25,000:1 contrast ratio improve Dynamic Contrast dramatically. Rich Color Enhancer revitalizes color expression to reproduce artwork accurately. Black-level adjustment evolves to enable seamless blending on curved screens, while Gradation Smoother easily corrects color banding. Content with a 21:9 aspect ratio is also supported.

Gradation Smoother and Detail Clarity Processor resolve imperfections for an overwhelmingly realistic experience. Panasonic’s black-level adjustment can eliminate distracting black-level bumps that can sometimes appear in blends outside of the image display area after geometric adjustment is applied. By unlinking black-level adjustment from geometric adjustment, black-level settings can be applied to the entire blend, including the image overlaps outside the image display area, for a completely seamless multi-screen image.

Supports Widescreen Input Signals
Single-chip DLP projectors are a popular way to unite on-site and remote teams in hybrid conferencing spaces. The latest video-conferencing software layouts can output a 21:9 signal to an REZ12 Series projector so the faces of remote participants appear along the bottom of the screen at eye level with those seated in the room. This promotes natural and fluent communication between members of the group. In addition, with more games, films, documentaries, and other immersive content being produced with a 21:9 aspect ratio, it makes sense to invest in a projector that can deliver a cinematic experience.
Maintenance-Free Operation
The REZ12 Series features an optical engine and laser light source module compliant with the IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529) standard and a refined liquid cooling system that enables up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection. Additionally, Backup Input switches to a secondary signal to prevent interruptions if the primary is disrupted.
Wide Scalability with Intel SDM-Ready Slot
To adapt projection to any situation, the REZ12 Series works with new optional lenses and features an Intel SDM-ready slot to integrate optional function boards that expand and scale connectivity. You can import custom test patterns, use the NFC function to save prep time, and streamline adjustment with pre-activated Geo Pro upgrade kits.
Installation and Integrator Friendly
Lightweight and easy to handle, the REZ12 Series smooths out workflow hassle with a flexible design to fit confined installation spaces. It suits new lenses with powered periphery focus and a wider shift range. Intel SDM-ready slot expands connectivity, while a new sensor enables projection angle display via GUI. Pre-activated upgrade kits for Geo Pro and improved black level adjustment save time when mapping on curved screens.

The REZ12 Series is near the peak of 1-Chip DLP projector evolution with intuitive features that make life easy for integrators and operators, especially at events where setup time is limited. You can use Remote Preview Lite to check content before projection, import custom test patterns, prep for setup without AC power using the NFC function, and control and adjust up to 64 projectors from your smartphone.
