Designed for use as a momentary mute or activate microphone switch in studios, this B&H Kit bundles four Kopul MuteMate-85 switches. Compatible with passive dynamic and phantom-powered condenser mics, these switches are durable and can be used as either a desktop switch or a footswitch.
Dynamic and Condenser Microphones
- The MuteMate ensures silent muting and unmuting no matter what kind of mic you use, whether it's a condenser or a dynamic microphone.
- The unit automatically senses phantom power and passes it through for your condenser microphone.
- You can also connect a dynamic microphone too, without changing settings.
Big Red Button
- The mute/talk button is big and red, making it almost impossible to miss and easy to press.
Press-to-Talk Mode
- In press-to-talk mode, your voice is heard only when you need to speak. Otherwise, your mic stays muted to prevent ambient noise or other conversations from disrupting your conference or recording session.
Press-to-Mute Mode
- In situations when you need to mute your mic for a quick side conversation, to cough, or clear your throat, the Press-to-Mute mode enables you to momentarily attenuate the level of your mic by 85 dB, so you can cut out things you'd prefer to go unheard.
Compatible with Signal Boosters
- When using a low-gain dynamic or ribbon microphone, the MuteMate works great with inline signal boosters, like the Cloudlifter mic activator or inline mic preamplifiers, like the Polsen Inline Single-Channel Mic Preamp.
Signal Attenuation
- The MuteMate attenuates your microphone signal by 85 dB, ensuring that your microphone will be entirely muted when the unit is activated.
Status-Indicator Light
The status-indicator light is conveniently placed right next to the push button, making it easy to see whether the mic is on or muted.
Rugged Metal Housing
- The MuteMate is built for repeated use and travel. The all-metal construction is designed to stand up to bumps and dings whether it's in a gear case or in your pocket. It also enables you to use the unit as a foot switch.
Mounting Options
- The MuteMate is equipped with nonslip rubber feet, ensuring that it stays put, even on a polished desk or floor. The housing also features mounting holes for permanent installation on a podium, desktop, or workstation.
