I spent a lot of time trying to find the "perfect" portable monitor/screen that would function for both my personal and business needs. It works great as a second screen for my iPad Air and MacBook Air and weights barely over 1 pound. Many competing product are really cheap and can easily break, plus they are only 1080p which is just too low resolution. However, spending $700+ for 4k seems crazy too. For ~$300, the HP 514 pn checked every box I had and I've already used it a lot within the first few weeks of having it!

(+) vibrant colors (+) high brightness (+) high dpi/resolution/sharpness (+) good antireflection coating (+/-) 75 Hz refresh rate is better than typical 60 Hz but it's not as smooth as 120 Hz (-) too high low brightness level - it's almost impossible to use it w/o ambient light
