Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indispensable for us! This seems like a simple right-angle handle with a shoe, but it's so much more useful than that. For one thing, it's plenty sturdy--so when you mount your tripod plate to the bottom, even if the rig is really loaded up, you're not going to get any sway or play.Even better, there's room to clamp or hang stuff, and we do. We use the handle-top shoe to mount a swiveling shoe-to-screw adapter that holds an H4N Zoom recorder--it's a great way to manage that problem, because you can see the H4N screen and the back of your 5D or 7D by just flicking your eyes back and forth. This will help you remember to record sound along with your video! (you DSLR video types know exactly what I'm talking about, right?)And when you pop it off the tripod, that handle really helps keep you steady. If you snap the whole rig onto a monopod, you can get three points of contact this way and then you're REALLY steady...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Grip Great Price! This grip fits my Panasonic DVX100b perfectly. Great for weddings and events. I attach a quick release plate and jump from tripod to monopod to handheld in seconds. I especially like using this grip when my camera is on my monopod, but its light enought that I don't mind leaving it attached to the camera when its on my tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart design This is a gem. Someone with brains designed this. I have my LED light on it and it works perfectly for whatever I wish to add. I like the design and it is so well built that it acts as a very stable support when I hold the camera free hand. My arms are held out at a better angle to steady the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To use is to appreciate I bought the Mini Rover based on the positive reviews that I read and the published price. I film with the Canon GL-2 and had just purchased the wide angle lens option for this camera. Needless to say this option increased the overall weight of the camera and made it front end heavey. The solution had to be a device that would steady the camera while at the same time would be small enough to fit in my camera case. The Mini Rover met the above mentioned requirements with flying colors. I couldn't believe the difference this little attachment made in shifting the center of gravity back toward the middle of the camera and steading those long held shots. I would recommend this attachment to a friend and would not hesitate to make this purchase again. In fact, on my last filming while at the Biltmore Estate I was approached by a gentleman who wanted to know where I purchased this support device. I'm sure I made a sale on the Mini Rover on sight alone. It's a great device for the money and deserves a 5 star rating.......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well designed! I now own 2!! I use this for shooting handheld with my Sony EX1R and older TRV900. Works great to help keep your shot steady. Also perfect mounting bracket for add-ons like a shotgun mic, light or wireless receiver. Makes carrying your camera easier when used as a handle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for the price. I would have given it 5 stars but it's a little too long. Built tough and does what it says. It does make it more difficult to focus because of the weight balance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and simple A simple design. It doesn't perform miracles, but it gives you a solid extra handle and place for attaching accessories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great build quality Used with a 60D and a Rode NTG-2. The build quality is exceptional. No complaints.
