The IDA8S Mass Notification System (Slave Unit) from Bogen offers a fully digital and networked Public Announcement and Voice Alert system that can be used in installations of all sizes, whether a small local system of 256 speaker zones, or a large complex multi-zone, multi-input system of 8192 zones.
The IDA8 system boasts local/global network redundancy, backup amplifier switching/sharing and system unit backup redundancy. One Control Unit connects to a maximum of 31 Slave Units via Ateis-Net. The LCD touchscreen panel gives the user the ability to assess a detailed overview of the entire system's operating status. The system is EN54-16 and UL2572 certified, and UL60065 listed. The IDA8SL Low-Impedance slave unit houses advanced audio digital signal processing (DSP), matrix control functions and a digital message player, along with amplifier monitoring with hot-swap amplifiers and low-impedance line monitoring. Each input and output channel is fitted with a wide range of pre- and post-processing devices such as volume controllers, routing mixers and switches, priority and paging components, equalizers, compressors, limiters, and delay lines.
- 8 analog audio outputs & 2 additional outputs for backup amplifiers with selectable 18 or 20 kHz monitoring signal for end-of-line monitoring
- Using defined monitoring windows, individual monitoring with an accuracy of up to 5% of the total line load
- 8 line-level analog audio inputs with an optional 8 microphone/line input card
- 8 alarm control inputs and 8 output relays programmable for system actions and priorities
- Optional TCP/IP audio break in/out boxes, TCP/IP call stations, etc.
- Redundant local network cabling over RJ45 (300') or fiber-optic (4000')
- Local network: the system is designed to handle up to 256 priorities and can be configured for up to 256 zones in the local network
- Global network: up to 32 local networks can be connected to a global network allowing a system configuration of up to 32 x 256 zones
- Front-panel color touchscreen display for control and monitoring
- Push buttons for emergency operation
- Internal message storage with a capacity of up to 4 hours of WAV format audio files. The message player and messages are monitored
- Full monitoring starting at the capsule of a call station microphone to the end of the loudspeaker line. The external cables connected to the control inputs are monitored for short and open circuit
- Standard test, alarm, and chime-tones are stored in the Master and Slave unit(s)
- Internal real-time clock for automatic scheduled activities like; playback of messages, automatic volume changes during day and night or background music settings
- Extensive audio pre- and post-processing possibilities for audio inputs and audio outputs
