Provide your DAD DX32R, AX32, or Avid MTRX converter with more tactile control with the NTP-DAD MOM, an Ethernet-connected monitor controller that provides a large rotary knob for level control and typical talkback, dim, and cut functions. With the innovative Layer function, which can be configured via DADman software, you can switch between four customizable control layouts.
MOM allows you to seamlessly switch between three sources and three speaker configurations, such as flipping between mono, stereo, and Atmos configurations. You can mute or solo each individual monitor channel. The Reference function lets you establish a reference level for your monitor setup. All switches can be configured through software. With support for the EUCON protocol, MOM can synchronize and cooperate with external control surfaces, such as the Avid S3 console and the Pro Tools Control app for iPad. MOM supports power input via either PoE on the Ethernet connection or a 5 VDC power adapter.
Another useful application for the layers are for large production rooms where many engineers share the controller. Now, each could tailor their own preset that suits them perfectly. Or in the case where an external producer or director sometimes attends mixing or tracking sessions. Then you could add more MOMs to the room and assign different ‘user roles’.
