ASUS GM700TZ-BS978 Reviews

Great value

Other than the mid to low end motherboard which bottlenecks with VRM's, it is a solid choice. Gpu, cpu, and ram alone is more expensive separately than the overall price of this computer. Just save to upgrade the motherboard since asus decided to make a dumb product choice. Solid quality deal.

The good and bad...

Let's start with the good. Top of the line AMD Ryzen 9000 processor. You'd pay $500 for the processor alone if you were going to build your own machine. RX 9070 GPU, a solid GPU. If you could buy the GPU that comes in the machine (because you can't, it's a very plain, simplified version of the GPU options you can buy separately) it would probably be in the $500 range. 64GB of RAM, again not the version or quality of component you would buy if you were buying it separately, but serviceable. These three components alone probably get you to about $1500-$1600, and they work fine. The processor is the only component that is the same exact component that you can/would buy if you were building your own machine. The bad...the motherboard is a joke. It is a sub $100 generic, incredibly dumbed down motherboard, and frankly disappointing. Essentially, they've prebuilt a pc with the most generic, low quality versions of their otherwise excellent components in every way. The pictures they use are very misleading versus what you actually get. Disappointed in that. All that being said, it runs, it runs pretty fast and it looks good, if you don't stare at it too long and realize all the shortcuts they took.
