JJC FDA-S1 Overview

Designed for digitizing 35mm film strips and slides, this Film Digitizing Adapter and LED Light Set from JJC is equipped with a set of lens adapters that work in tandem with a variety of select lenses. The kit includes an LED panel with 10 adjustable brightness levels. The robust panel is designed to support the film strip holder and illuminates each frame with a fixed color temperature of 6500K and a CRI of 95+.

Please note that if you do not have a macro lens, you can achieve macro shooting with the separately available JJC Automatic Extension Tube.

Great for Beginners

I've had this item for about a year and have had great success. I scan with a Sony A7RIII and a Sony 90mm macro lens. The tubes are easy to install on the lens. I have only used the negative holder and overall I am happy with it. Sometimes it is a pain to get the negatives lined up just right so you only see the image, but nothing that makes this unusable. I like that I don't have to have to use a lot of space to scan my negatives. This has been a great edition to my home processing and scanning set up. HIghly recommend checking it out.

This is a great way to digitize slides. I haven't used it yet for negatives, but it is fantastic for slides. I also bought a AF-S Micro Nikkor 40mm because it was the most affordable option. It was supposed to crop the slides, but it doesn't. It takes a photograph of the whole frame. Perfect!

I would be using it with my canon r8 and RF24-50mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lenses. Will it work? Do I need anything else? I am a naive photographer!

JJC Film Negative Digitizer Set and this product

JJC Film Negative Digitizer Set and this product is very similar. Will this also work with the camera and lens set i mentioned earlier. Is the any quality difference? Which one to go for and why?

The JJC Film Digitizing Adapter and LED Light Set is a superior option compared to the JJC Film Negative Digitizer Set, BH #JJFDAS2. It does not come with extension tubes for the lens to allow for the magnification you need.
