The Move Shoot Move Z-Mount is a lightweight, adjustable, hinged platform designed primarily for astrophotography and compatible with a star tracker. It keeps a camera ball head level when mounted on a star tracker, preventing the awkward and often unstable angles that occur during polar alignment and tracking. It acts as a bridge between the star tracker and your ball head, allowing you to level the camera independently of the tracker's tilt. It can hold up to 8.8 lbs and function as a standalone table-top tripod.
This platform comes with three independent locking levers and features a 360° rotation base. It can be adjusted and locked into place, providing a stable foundation for long-exposure shots. The top portion of the trifold plate has a 1/4"-20 threaded screw for wide compatibility with a range of equipment. The bottom plate has a standard 3/8"-16 threaded mount and comes with a removable 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 screw adapter that expands its compatibility with separately available tripods, monopods, or other support systems. This aluminum platform weighs only 7.8 oz and has two integrated bubble levels for precise leveling.
