Make your guitar sing with the unmistakable tone of an AC30 Treble Booster pushed to the sweet spot with the VOX VTB-1, a fuzz and treble boosting pedal, which combines germanium-style nonlinearity with silicon stability for the best of both worlds. With targeted biasing and a hand-selected Silver Can BC109 transistor, the VTB-1 offers an expanded sweet spot without unwanted noise.
The single-transistor gain stage provides clarity and exceptional volume-knob cleanup. With the Fat switch, the pedal expands the boosted frequency range. The pedal is compact, rugged, and sports a vintage style that fits perfectly into any modern pedalboard. The VTB-1 is compatible with modern 9V PSUs and can also be optionally powered by a single 9V battery (power supply and battery sold separately).
By widening the edge-of-breakup zone and tuning the operating point with pinpoint accuracy, the VTB-1 achieves the smooth onset of drive, singing overtones, and exceptional volume-knob cleanup that defines classic Treble Booster tone. At the heart of the VTB-1 is a hand-selected Silver Can BC109 transistor, chosen for its consistent performance, low noise, and authentic vintage feel. Modern thin-film resistors further reduce noise beyond what carbon-composition parts of the '60s could achieve.
