Dell Tower Plus Overview

Built to be a powerhouse for productivity, creative workloads, and even gaming, the Tower Plus Desktop Computer from Dell supports full-sized expansions and is ready to handle demanding tasks and AI workloads, with Thunderbolt 4 support built-in.

Inside is an Intel Core Ultra 7 265 20-core processor that accelerates AI tasks with a dedicated NPU. There is also 32GB of DDR5 memory with a 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD that can smoothly load and multitask a variety of applications and large projects. A 2.5 GbE RJ45 port allows you to connect to compatible wired networks. Use the Thunderbolt 4 port to transfer up to 40 Gb/s with compatible devices. The front I/O holds two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports and three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports that work with up to 10 Gb/s and 5 Gb/s devices, respectively. The back I/O shield is equipped with two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports with four USB-A 2.0 ports that can be reserved for peripherals such as the included mouse and keyboard. Windows 11 Home is preinstalled.

Performance
The Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processor powers applications with eight Performance cores while the 12 Efficient cores handle background tasks. The P-cores have a base speed of 2.4 GHz with a 5.3 GHz Max Turbo Boost 3.0 frequency. A dedicated NPU can process up to 13 trillion operations per second (TOPS) to accelerate AI tasks.
NVIDIA 50- Series Graphics
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card delivers enhanced visuals and performance with fifth gen Tensor Cores, Streaming Multiprocessors, and 4th Gen Ray Tracing Cores. AI-driven features help to increase frame rates, reduce latency, and boost realism for immersive visuals. The card includes three DisplayPort 2.1b connectors and one HDMI 2.1b port.
Windows 11 Home
Microsoft simplified the design and user experience with Windows 11. It has a modern, clean design with a new Start Menu position. Snap Layouts, Groups, and Desktops allow you to multitask with ease. Microsoft has also integrated some of their apps, such as Microsoft Teams. The redesigned Microsoft Store makes it easier to look for supported apps.

I have to say with all the hype it is less intuitive, slower and generally just ok. It runs Windows 11 is the best I'll say. The rest is MS and Dell needing to sell more hardware.

Just What I Was Looking For!

I've had this beauty for about a week now. I'm an active hobby photographer and had happily been using the Adobe Photoshop subscription on my 3 year old Dell Inspiron desktop until everytime I tried to use the masking module I got error messages and in conversration with some computer pros discovered the GPU in the Insiprion was outdated as far as keeping up with all the AI Adobe was adding to the software so I was on the lookout for a computer with a much higher quality NVIDIA GPU and when this Dell with the NVIDIA 5070 with 12 GB of VRAM popped up at B&H I immediately placed my order and so far I love it - it does everything I want to do regarding editing photos and it does it fast. IN ADDITION this has enabled me to decommission my 15 year old OptiPlex I have used for my business and now I have this one wonderful computer for my hobby and my career (and goofing off!). Highly recommended.
