Brightin Star 50mm f/1.05 Overview

From Manufacturer

Designed for the Nikon Z-mount, the Brightin Star 50mm f/1.05 is an extremely fast normal-length prime lens with an exceptionally bright design for low-light conditions. The lens has a manual focus design that gives photographers great control over the depth of field and allows them to isolate subjects using selective focus techniques.

Behind the Glass
This 50mm prime lens for full-frame cameras gives a 43° angle of view, providing a natural perspective. It has a f/1.05 maximum aperture, which lets in a lot of light and creates strong background blur. The lens focuses manually and can focus on subjects as close as 1.9', allowing tight framing without distortion. Inside, it uses 10 elements in 8 groups, including two high-refractive-index and two low-dispersion elements to reduce optical flaws. All elements have a multilayer coating to minimize flare and ghosting while keeping contrast high.
Focus & Attention
This lens allows you to control exactly where the viewer looks by using an extremely shallow depth of field. At wide apertures, only a small part of the image stays in focus while the rest quickly softens, which helps isolate a subject from its surroundings. This is especially useful when you want to emphasize details, faces, or textures and let the background fade into the image rather than compete with it. The manual focus encourages a more deliberate way of photographing. Choosing the focus and depth of field manually allows for more thoughtful framing and timing.
Mood, Light & Atmosphere
The wide aperture allows you to work with available light in dim environments, such as indoor scenes or nighttime settings, without adding artificial light. Combined with the natural perspective of a 50mm focal length, the lens tends to produce images that feel intimate and atmospheric.
