Great 40 mm lens; wonderful walk around lens for my Lumix S9. Colours are very good, useful Function button and good focus speed. No CA and nice sharpness.

Excellent Considering the Price

This tiny lightweight lens is perfect if you need something with those ergonomics. Considering the price, size and weight, the performance is excellent. I tested the lens on a 61 megapixel Sony A7CR. No, it will not compete with a lens costing five times the price. However, it is very sharp across the field at ƒ5.6, and ƒ8 and usable at ƒ4 and ƒ11. It is quite soft at ƒ2.5 and diffraction softens the image at ƒ16. Contrast and color are good, the autofocus is accurate, reasonably fast and relatively quiet. The aperture ring works well but the click stops are fairly soft. If the focal length works for you and you need the smallest, lightest lens, this is a true bargain.

Yes, the 7Artisans AF 40mm f/2.5 Lens (Sony E), BH #7AAF40F25BE, is compatible with the Sony ZV-E10 II mirrorless camera. Sony APS-C cameras have a 1.5x crop factor. So this full-frame lens would be a 60mm focal length on the Sony ZV-E10 II mirrorless camera.

Does this have weather sealing? The video says "dust and splash protection" from pro grade sealing.

The lens has a rubber gasket around the mount but apparently that's the only weather sealing. However, even the rubber gasket will greatly reduce the likelihood of moisture and dust entering the lens and, more importantly, the camera. My main weather sealing concern with a lens at this price is whether it will protect the camera body at least as well as a body cap. This lens will do that while almost all other lenses in this price range omit that rubber sealing gasket. I avoid lenses without a gasket at the mount for that reason alone. My cameras cost more than ten times the price of this lens and they are my only serious concern.
