Tough Precision material is a thermoplastic that has up to two times the impact strength of ABS but still maintains similar tensile strength and flexibility. This filament also utilizes Smart Spool, which provides information about the material type, color, and amount remaining via an RFID chip to the MakerBot Print app. A desiccant in the spool also helps maintain a low moisture level inside the drawer bay.
