Magnus TP-60B Reviews

It will even handle a professional recorder as a tabletop!

The first thing I noticed when unboxing this tripod was the spring-action, tap-to-open latch and the grippy rubber feet. It's incredibly compact and easily fits into any camera bag or the case where I keep my gear. I'll primarily be using it with my DJI Osmo Nano. It's perfect for placing the camera in tight spaces or discreetly positioning it during a wedding ceremony to capture an additional angle. I also plan to use it with my Sound Devices MixPre-6 field recorder, and I'm completely comfortable supporting that relatively hefty recorder on this tripod. It feels stable and well built. At around $15, this is an excellent value. It appears to be well made and should hold up for a long time with normal use. I've also included photos (visible when viewing the review in a full desktop browser). [I received this product in exchange for my honest review].

Well-made, well-designed and very useful

I really like having small accessories in my camera bag that solve problems without taking up space, and this tabletop tripod is one of them. It's so compact that I can slip it into a pocket or the corner of a gear bag, yet it's always there when I need a quick support for a camera, microphone, or small LED light. The tap to open feature is great. It's surprisingly convenient to just tap it on a table and have the legs pop open instantly. When I'm moving quickly between setups or only have one hand free, that little feature saves more time than I expected. Even though it's small, it feels solid and stable. The rubber feet do a good job of keeping it from sliding around on smooth surfaces, and I've found it works great for low angle shots or as a desktop tripod. I also like that the folded legs double as a comfortable handheld grip. It's a simple design, but it's one of those little touches that makes it even more versatile. I really like this mini tripod. It is one of those accessories that doesn't cost much, doesn't weigh much, and somehow ends up getting used all the time. It's compact, well-made, and a handy addition to just about any camera kit.
