The Vari Tube Vari-Mu Mastering and Bus Compressor from Tegeler Audio is a powerful mastering, compression, and coloring tool for professional studio environments. It uses a total of 3 transformers and 4 triode tubes per channel to add cohesion and overall sparkle to mixdowns.
Built using the Vari-Mu principle, like in the Fairchild 670 compressor, the unit has a distinct sound, which many describe as musical, adding a golden touch that glues mixdowns together. A high-pass filter in the analysis circuit reduces the influence of low frequencies on overall compression; with the appropriate attack and release settings, these measures ensure that the VTC is able to compress the sum without audible pumping, even with a compression of up to 6 dB. Users can also customize settings, bypass, and side-chain, to color and affect their sound in many other ways with the only limit being your imagination.
