The Vaxis TRANSCOM Host Headset is the central communication unit for the TRANSCOM full-duplex wireless intercom system, designed to coordinate production crews with reliable, real-time communication. The host headset pairs with TRANSCOM guest headsets to create a wireless communication network for collaborative workflows in environments such as event production, live streaming, sports coverage, and other multi-operator productions. With ultralow latency and long-range wireless transmission, the system enables clear, uninterrupted two-way communication without requiring beltpacks or base stations.
Host-Controlled Full-Duplex Communication
The TRANSCOM host headset connects with guest headsets to enable real-time communication across a production team. The system can be expanded to support a maximum of nine users simultaneously without the need for hubs or beltpacks.
Long-Range Wireless Transmission
Dual built-in antennas support a wireless transmission range of up to 1148', allowing crew members to maintain clear communication across large venues, stages, or production areas.
Ultralow Latency Communication
Ultralow latency of less than 35 ms provides a natural conversation experience, helping teams coordinate quickly during fast-paced productions.
Adjustable Auto-Muting Microphone Boom
The 270° rotating boom arm features an electret condenser microphone that can be worn on either side. Raising the boom automatically mutes the microphone, while lowering it restores communication.
Clear Speech Reproduction
A wide frequency response of 150 Hz to 7 kHz accurately reproduces speech for intelligible communication. Acoustic Echo Cancellation helps reduce background noise for clearer conversations.
Replaceable Battery Operation
The host headset uses rechargeable, replaceable batteries. Battery life varies depending on the number of connected guest headsets and can reach up to 5 hours when paired with four guests.
