This Indigo Filter Wheel + LRGB 2" Mounted Filter Set from Pegasus Astro includes the filter wheel and seven commonly used astrophotography filters. The filter wheel enhances your workflow with fast, accurate operation, employing a stepper motor that rotates clockwise and counterclockwise and has seven positions for 2" mounted filters. Power comes from the supplied USB cable plugged into a computer, USB hub, or camera with power outputs. With the ASCOM driver installed, it can be operated through many astrophotography programs.
Included Bandpass Filters
- Luminance UV/IR Cut: designed for ultraviolet and infrared wavelength blocking to improve sharpness of the image and reduce halos on lens optical systems. Important for unfiltered CCD and CMOS sensors
- Red, Green, Blue: high-contrast filter suitable for CMOS and CCD sensors. Filters are IR-blocked
- All bandpass filters have 1/4 wavefront parfocal polish, 95% transmission rate, and multilayer antireflection coating
Included Narrowband Filters
- Ha 7nm: centered on a wavelength of 656nm, reducing the transmission of artificial light including mercury vapor and both high- and low-pressure sodium vapor lights and unwanted neutral oxygen emission in our atmosphere. For highest contrast and revealing subtle nebula details
- OIII 7nm: centered on 500nm, designed for nebula observation and reducing artificial mercury and sodium vapor and neutral oxygen emission
- SII 7nm: centered on 672nm, also designed for nebula observation and reduction of artificial light and neutral oxygen emission
- All narrowband filters have 1/4 wavefront parfocal polish, 80% transmission rate, and multilayer antireflection coating
