The FlatMaster Neo 120 from Pegasus Astro has a motorized retractable design, closing mechanically over your telescope aperture to create flat frames that calibrate your sensor prior to imaging. It includes a built-in dew heater guided by a temperature and humidity sensor to keep your gear dew-free. You can set the flat panel to open at a particular angle to avoid collision with other gear and control it using the button, via USB-C, or with the built-in Wi-Fi and a web dashboard.
Wide Brightness Range
The FlatMaster Neo offers an extensive brightness range, ideal for short exposure times, such as 2 to 3 seconds at f/7, when used with 3nm narrowband imaging filters. At the same time, it can be dimmed to very low brightness settings, making it possible to capture flawless flat frames even with extremely fast telescopes.
Retractable Panel
The panel can be remotely controlled and adjusted between 0 and 270°. To prevent collisions with obstacles, you can set a custom maximum opening angle. Designed to fit any telescope up to 120mm, FlatMaster Neo features a specialized silicone flange that ensures a light- and dust-proof seal around your optical elements. This flange also helps shield the surrounding area when the LED is illuminated during flat-frame calibration.
Dew Heater & Sensors
The integrated dew heater removes moisture when fully powered, ensuring a dry, dew-free surface. This prevents water droplets from getting trapped between the lid and the telescope lens after closing. A built-in temperature and humidity sensor automatically adjusts the heater based on calculated dew point levels. You can enable or disable this feature as needed or manually set and store the heater's intensity. A built-in light sensor further enhances automation by automatically closing the lid at sunrise.
Manual, USB, and Wi-F- Control
FlatMaster is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing you to control and monitor panel brightness remotely from your mobile phone. Notably, you can operate it simultaneously with USB or Wi-Fi, providing flexibility and ease of use for astronomers, all from the convenience of your smartphone.
Wide Compatibility
The FlatMaster device is fully compatible with ASCOM Alpaca, classic ASCOM, and INDI protocols.
