Designed for capturing crystal-clear audio in some of the most extreme environments, the Voice Technologies VT500X MKII Extreme is an omnidirectional lavalier mic featuring a rugged IPX8 rating for rigorous protection from water, salt, and humidity, a shock-resistant capsule, and a robust cable that resists tearing, cutting, or welding. With an RF filter, this mic resists unwanted interference.
The flexible cable helps to avoid pesky handling noises when adjusting the mic or moving. Despite its rugged features, the VT500X sacrifices none of the sensitivity of the VT500WA, offering a wide 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and a sensitivity of -42 dB. With the optional VT1126 adapter (sold separately), you can power the VT500X MKII via phantom power and an XLR connection. The VT500X MKII is made in Switzerland and includes an alligator clip, a Dracula clip, a tie tac clip, a Rubber Body Mount II, a windscreen, and a VTO box.
The VT500X-MKII also has a particularly robust cable. Thanks to injection molding, the microphone is extremely robust and shock resistant. The cable is molded directly into the capsule housing, which makes it virtually impossible to pull out.
