Optimized for picking up the subtlest nuances of human speech in film, theater, and broadcast applications, the Voice Technologies VT406WA is a compact, neck-worn, omnidirectional microphone that features a durable, waterproof design with a tough 5.9' cable that resists cutting, welding, and tearing. With a necklace design that utilizes comfortable rubber, this mic is both resilient and easy to wear, avoiding the need for clips.
The omnidirectional capsule picks up natural sound from all directions and sports a wide and flat 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. The integrated RF filter protects the VT406WA from unwanted interference. Although designed for plug-in power between 0.8 and 3.6V, with the optional VT1126 adapter series, you can operate this mic via an XLR connection and 48V phantom power. Made in Switzerland, the VT406WA includes a plastic carrying box.
Thanks to injection molding, the microphone is extremely robust and impact resistant. The cable is molded directly into the capsule housing, which makes it virtually impossible to pull out.
