The Turtle AV JEF is a Dante-enabled microphone preamp that converts microphones directly to the network with low-noise preamps, onboard DSP, and full network and power redundancy. Designed for boardrooms, stadiums, and broadcast environments, it integrates seamlessly into Dante or AES67 workflows while reducing reliance on external DSP. Remote gain control, onboard processing, and flexible network connectivity simplify system design and streamline operation from any mix position.
Networked Audio with Redundancy
JEF features primary and secondary Dante network connections for automatic failover and uninterrupted audio transport. Dual PoE support provides power redundancy when connected to separate PoE sources, and locking etherCON connectors ensure secure, reliable connections in permanent or live installations. The unit connects microphones directly to the Dante network, delivering phantom power, low-noise conversion, and remote gain control for field, sideline, podium, or gooseneck microphones.
Onboard DSP and Remote Control
Advanced audio processing is handled directly within the unit, including an 8-band parametric EQ, compressor, expander, and five filters with high-pass and low-pass options. Gain and sensitivity controls help optimize the input stage for any microphone, ensuring consistent, professional results. Configuration and control are available through an intuitive WebUI or via open API for integration with third-party control systems.
Durable Design for Professional Installations
Housed in aircraft-grade aluminum, the JEF is built for long-term deployment in demanding AV and broadcast environments. It is TAA compliant for U.S. government procurement.
