Excellent Color Accuracy and Professional Results

I’ve been using the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2600 for a few days now, and I’m genuinely impressed with the results. Color output is excellent right out of the gate, but like with any serious printing workflow, using the correct color profile makes all the difference. Initially, I experimented with a different profile and found the colors were noticeably off. Once I switched to one of Canon’s built-in color profiles included with the printer software, the results improved significantly. I’m currently printing on Epson 24" luster paper, so finding the right profile was important for accuracy. I also created a custom profile using X-Rite iStudio for comparison. While the calibrated profile delivered technically accurate results—with better blue tones and deeper blacks—I ultimately preferred Canon’s built-in profile. It produces slightly more saturated images with a subtle warm (yellowish) tone that suits my personal preference and aesthetic. Overall, I’m very happy with the color accuracy, richness, and especially the depth of the blacks. The printer also applies a protective coating that makes prints more scratch-resistant and adds a nice gloss finish. I’ve printed on both 24" and 8" luster paper, and the results have been consistently excellent. Roll handling is smooth, and borderless printing is flawless. I’m planning to try canvas next, and based on current results, I expect it to look fantastic. I highly recommend this printer. It’s a bit bulky, but it looks great and feels like a professional-grade piece of equipment.

To be clear, we give B&H 5 stars. We give Canon 2. We had our pervious version of this printer 5 years. We only use it for high-end fine art prints. The main PCB died and we were unable to find a replacement. Instead of $500 for the PCB, we had to spend $3,000. If there were another printer that delivered this quality we'd change brands. B&H got it to use in about a week. We are very impressed.
