The sides don't always spring open.

In general I like it. It can be quite useful for street photography. I bought an adhesive cold shoe to mount it, since the camera does not have one. The only, but very irritating problem,is that the folding sides get caught up and it can be very difficult to unfold them. The view is larger and brighter than the Retropia waist level finder. I also bought a 3D printed version that is too fragile to be of use.

Great finder. Well built. Sturdy. Elegant. Affordable. Bright. Clear. Versatile (28mm, 35mm & 50mm.) Take a break from traditional photography: zone focus, frame from the hip. A lower perspective is very useful in photography. I guarantee you’ll love this. Make sure the axis of the lens and the finder coincide.
