so far everything is working perfect. A little glitch with the wifi chip, but was taken care of the very next day!

Replaced My Older Designjet

The plotter arrived 2 days after shipping. Thanks B&H for speedy action. I needed a plotter in a hurry. The power-up initial installation was OK up until the ink cartridges were inserted. After that it hanged. I had to turn it off and then on for it to continue while holding my breath. There is no mention of what to do if the instructions do not work as intended. There is no mention of what the username and password is for access to the internal BIOS. They are on the back of the printer alongside the serial and the model numbers. After the ink cartridges, it was wifi connection to the router which went smoothly. The driver installation in Windows 10 is different from all other devices. This is how it works. After the design software (in my case Autocad) passes the encoded job to the driver, HP's own software attached to the driver takes over. You can preview, scale, crop, center again if you haven't done so in the drawing application. Presumably, this ensures what you see is what you get. The HP software then sends the job to the plotter. The actual print is higher resolution (1024X2048) compared to my Designjet 500. Uses less ink than my old 500. The ink cartridges are also less expensive. My plotter is connected to the LAN via WiFi. I tested the ethernet and it is working. While Bluetooth is available in the plotter, I couldn't find any information on how to connect. I tried using the same computer I am able to plot from, but the plotter never became visible in the list of Bluetooth devices. This plotter is good for line art. Look at other brands or HP's other models for photographic grade plotter. This specific model (T210) does not come with paper tray. There is a tray mounting space in the back with a cover. However, I think loose sheets can be inserted into the plotter at the same location where the paper from the roll is inserted. Negative one star for poor/incomplete documentation. If I were not an experienced user, I will subtract one more star for the installation not being user friendly.
