This is an early review of the MAXIFY GX2020. It prints and copies well. I have not yet used it to scan or to use the automatic document feeder. Loading ink is a breeze. Each ink bottle has a unique fitting on top, so it is impossible to put the colors or black ink in the wrong tanks. The problems that I encountered were related to setting it up. It comes with essentially no instructions. There are a few nearly incomprehensible pictograms. The key to setting it up is to go to Google and ask about each step. Sometimes Google gives the answer, and at other times it goes to Canon for the answer. It is possible to set it up, but among all the included literature (warranty, safety brochure in multiple languages, and some flyer about a piece of optional software to print posters), the only instruction was a small sheet telling the user to plug it in and follow the instructions on the printer's screen, which were also minimal. Canon needs to include a sheet of maybe 8 or 10 panels of well illustrated, step-by-step instructions. Now that it is set up, I expect that it will work well, but getting it set up took running back and forth to the web to see what should have been included to get it going. (P.S. The packaging is a marvel of cardboard engineering.)

This printer/scanner works as intended. Print looks good. Price of ink is reasonable. Scan quality is good.

which printer is the fastest of the 2 canongx2020 or the canon g7020? Do both have the ability to do auto 2 side printing?

The Canon MAXIFY GX7020 Wireless MegaTank All-In-One Printer is faster at 24 ipm (Black) 15.5 ipm (Color), than the Canon MAXIFY GX2020 Wireless MegaTank All-In-One Color Printer at 15 ipm (Black) 10 ipm (Color). Both of these support automatic 2-sided printing.

Can it print on Canon PM-101 matte paper? This paper is 210gsm but printer specs say 64 to 105 gsm.

The Canon MAXIFY GX2020 Wireless MegaTank All-In-One Color Printer, BH # CAMGX2020, can print on paper with a weight range of 17 to 28 lb (64 to 105 g/m2). The Canon PM-101 exceeds that range, so it is not compatible.
