Dell Pro Micro Overview

Don't be fooled by its compact size. The Dell Pro Micro Desktop Computer is equipped to handle demanding AI tasks while enhancing your workflow with fast connectivity.

Inside is a 3.6 GHz AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8700GE 8-Core processor that works with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD to smoothly load and multitask a variety of applications and large projects. A dedicated NPU accelerates AI tasks. There is also support for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and a Gigabit Ethernet port to connect to compatible high-speed networks. Use the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port to transfer up 10 Gb/s with compatible devices. There are also three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports that work with up to 5 Gb/s devices. The two USB-A 2.0 ports may be used for peripherals such as the included mouse and keyboard. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled.

AMD Ryzen Performance
The AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8700GE 8-Core processor has a 5.1 GHz max boost clock frequency. A dedicated NPU, capable of up to 16 trillion operations per second (TOPS), accelerates AI tasks. It also features integrated Radeon 780M Graphics.
Easy Fit
With its compact design, you can place this computer almost anywhere, including underneath your desktop using a separately purchased mount. You can also attach it to the rear of a compatible monitor to turn it into an all-in-one system.

Windows 11 Pro
Microsoft simplified the design and user experience with Windows 11. It has a modern, clean design with a new Start Menu position. Snap Layouts, Groups, and Desktops allow you to multitask with ease. Microsoft has also integrated some of their apps, such as Microsoft Teams. The redesigned Microsoft Store makes it easier to look for supported apps. The Pro version of Windows 11 includes all the features that Windows 11 Home offers plus many designed specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access.

The Dell Pro Micro is a fast tiny PC. It takes up little space on the desk. It comes with a basic wired mouse and keyboard. The keyboard keys is more on the shallow side and the fn key on the bottom side will easily be pressed mistakenly when you attempt to use press ctrl, alt, or windows key for a shortcut combo. The overall Dell micro design hasn't changed that much from previous models. Opening the unit is done by undoing one screw in the back and sliding out the top lid will show 1 x short nvme ssd on a 2280 adapter and an open slot for another nvme ssd. I had two units and each one had either Samsung or Phison brand m.2 ssd. Under the fan shroud is a 1x16gb stick. My units came with an additional USB-C installed on the back. My units came with fast wifi 6 wifi card. It boots up in less than 20 seconds from dell logo to windows 11 login. I did have update the firmware via Dell Command Update software or just simply rebooting the computer after doing a windows update will also trigger it. After all that setup, it performs great for office related tasks such as running Microsoft 365 word, excel, Teams, CRM, and BC. Future upgrades that can be done are to install another m.2 SSD and add another stick of RAM. Application: Office work and web browsing. Pros: Small foot print on the desk, fast out of the box, and slightly cheaper at B&H than on Dell's website. Cons: 1 x 16gb DDR5 setup in single channel, comes with Dell bloatware, keyboard fn key placement can be easily pressed by mistake.

No, the Dell Pro Micro Desktop Computer BH # DEVD5D2 does not include the optional USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power-in Support.

yes ..3 NVME slots ...1in use by WiFi /Bluetooth ..2 more for M2.2230 orM2.2280 SSDs .. added an additional SSD to one ..easy , but make sure you have the correct screw :)
