Enhance your multitasking while editing videos and creating content with the LG UltraFine 40U990A 39.7" 5K2K HDR 120 Hz Curved Ultrawide Monitor. With its 2500R curved design, this ultrawide display envelopes your view with a 5120 x 2160 (5K2K) resolution, giving you a large workspace while delivering rich, accurate colors and versatile connectivity.

With HDR10 support, the UltraFine delivers stunning visuals featuring realistically bright highlights and deep shadows. Connecting your compatible computer to the Thunderbolt 5 port allows you to transfer video, up to 80 Gb/s of data, and 96W of power over a single cable. You can also use the second Thunderbolt 5 and DisplayPort out ports to daisy chain an additional display. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 hub allows you to connect up to 10 Gb/s peripherals. There are also two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 2.1 input.

I have a degenerative retinal defect and am looking for a good monitor for my MacBook Pro M3 to provide a wide screen and comfortable viewing. The 39.7" LG UltraFine gives me an excellent large format screen with great contrast control (you don't need to overdrive brightness to achieve optimal clarity). Also, the slight curve of the screen helps maintain a consistent distance from my eyes (reduces fatigue from refocusing as I look across the screen). While a bit expensive, I was able to find a good deal for the value. I'm very pleased.

Great display but the plastic shell and stand give off a cheap kinda feel. the single joystick that is also a button for all the monitors onboard features is annoying as single button inputs are. wish it had a dedicated "input" button. Monitor Wobbles a bit on stand; lacks that "solid" feeling. but it gets the job done very well. still figuring out hiccups with the PIP/PBP feature. One of my laptops displays wonderfully alongside my PS5 in PIP(Picture in Picture) but the other refuses. Also, I wish there was better documentation about the ports in the hub. I want to know the max wattage and max data speed of every port. Also cant get the 3.5mm jack to output sound. Is it for input? the world may never know. otherwise, great picture, love the fast refresh rate.

The LG UltraFine 40U990A 39.7" 5K2K HDR 120 Hz Curved Ultrawide Monitor, B&H # LG40U990AWAU, is not officially G-Sync certified. It does support AMD FreeSync Premium, which means that it can be used in "G‐Sync Compatible mode."
