Like other Pultec mastering products, the MEQM-5 replaces typical potentiometers with custom-taper 21-step precision rotary switches for enhanced recall and control.
The MEQM-5 provides 200 Hz to 1 kHz low-mid peak boosting, 1.5 to 5 kHz high-mid peak boosting, and a 200 Hz to 7 kHz dip attenuation. With the three independent sets of controls, you can simultaneously boost on a peak curve in two ranges while also attenuating for precise sonic sculpting, a quality that has made this EQ design a go to for many engineers. The MEQM-5 features manual switches for EQ In and turning the whole unit on or off.
