SmallRig Cage for Nikon Z50 II Overview

This Camera Cage from SmallRig provides both protection and accessory mounting for your Nikon Z50 II camera. The formfitting aluminum alloy cage maintains access to all the camera's controls, battery, and SD card slots, and it features a variety of mounting options. Three mounting screws ensure secure, twist-free mounting for your camera, and a pinky rest increases the grip comfort.

Accessory Mounts
In addition to a side NATO rail, the cage also provides two shoe mounts and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads, most with an anti-twist design. A QD (Quick Detach) socket and strap slots offer even more mounting options.

NOTE: While this cage maintains access to your camera's battery and controls, the top of the cage may prevent your camera's flash from popping up.

A quality cage that has a hole for everything. I keep it on my camera at all times. Superb fit

Adequate for what it is

This is a decent cage for the Z50ii, but I do have a couple of criticisms of it. First, I was hoping for a bit more of a sturdy build with a little more material at the base for more room for my pinkie finger. But for what it's intended for (the small & light Z50ii) it feels ok. It kind of looks like the baseplate model has a thicker base for more room for the pinkie. I wish they would've used that depth for the cage. Second, it just doesn't feel like the anchor blocks at the camera strap lug location are a solid attachment point. I would've much preferred screw-in anchor through the lugs like on other Smallrig cages. Otherwise, as I titled this; it's adequate for what it is.
