This AM3N Strain Wave Gear Mount & Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit from B&H provides a compact and precise alt-az/equatorial telescope mount and a sturdy but lightweight set of legs to support it. The AM3N can hold more than 17 pounds of optics or camera and accessories with no counterweight needed. The tripod includes a spreader and a weight back for stability.
Providing smooth strain wave gearing and neat cable management, the ZWO AM3N Strain Wave Gear Mount offers altazimuth operation for observation and go-to equatorial tracking via an app or a hand controller for astrophotography. The mount weighs just nine pounds but can support up to 17.6 pounds on its own or 28.7 pounds with a user-supplied counterweight and shaft. The brake system prevents the mount from toppling if the power is cut off. The mount runs on a user-supplied 12V, 3A power supply and is compatible with ASCOM and ZWO's ASIAIR platforms.
