The 9401A System Management Device for Audio-Over-IP Networking from Genelec enables the smooth integration of Genelec's Smart Active Monitors (SAM) and subwoofers into SAM system layouts, from stereo to immersive, using ST2110, AES67 and Ravenna streams as the source.
The device offers full support for room adaption from Genelec's GLM software. AoIP streams (ST2110, AES67 and Ravenna) are converted into AES/EBU outputs, providing 16 channels of digital audio over a DB25 connector, which is then sent into the SAM monitoring system. Included are a dedicated subwoofer output and flexible auxiliary stereo XLR monitoring output. All popular immersive formats are supported, and units are easily scalable to increase the total number of outputs even further. For professional studios using multiple Genelec monitoring products, the 9401A is a powerful assistive tool for combining and routing your sound to the desired output source, with all the control parameters needed for locking in your perfect mix.
