Designed by David Royer as a versatile mic for broadcast, stage, and studio applications alike, the Mojave Audio MA-C is a handheld condenser microphone that delivers studio-quality audio and articulate intelligibility. Featuring a true condenser capsule and a cardioid pattern for tight rejection of feedback, the MA-C offers an exceptionally detailed sound even in loud environments.
When the capsule is removed, you have access to a switchable -15 dB pad for overly hot signals and a 50 Hz low-cut filter for removing any unwanted rumbling or handling noise that is not quashed by the design's already inherently low handling noise. An integrated pop filter keeps your audio clean and clear at any mic distance. The versatile design makes this mic an excellent choice for powerful vocals and demanding instruments like amp cabinets, guitar, drums, brass, and more. With a rugged design, the MA-C is ready for the rigors of the road and heavy touring. The MA-C includes a hard carrying case and a mic clip.
At the heart of the MA-C is a precision-manufactured condenser capsule voiced for vocals. The result is a focused, articulate sound with excellent intelligibility and musical detail, even in loud stage environments.
The MA-C also performs exceptionally well outside of live sound. Because it is optimized for close-mic placement and offers strong rejection of room ambience, it is an excellent choice for home recording, podcasting, and broadcast applications, particularly in untreated rooms where controlling reflections is critical.
