The VDI Vacuum Tube Direct Injection Box from HAZELRIGG INDUSTRIES is designed for stage and studio, as part of the Solutions Series in conjunction with D.W. Fearn, bringing the energy of genuine vacuum tubes to amplified acoustic instruments, electric bass and guitar, synthesizers, and more.
The front panel includes a 1/4" instrument input jack as well as 1/4" thru connector to pass the signal on to a guitar or bass amplifier. The mic level output signal is available on an XLR connector, ready to be patched to the mic preamp of the users choice. A ground-lift switch is provided in the event of grounding problems. The rear panel features an IEC power socket, power switch and 115-220V mains selector. Sharing the same high-headroom circuit design as the beloved D.W. Fearn VT-I/F, the VDI provides dynamic results on electric bass and guitar, adds power and fatness to vintage or modern synths, and brings depth and presence to plucked acoustic instruments.
