Featuring premium glass, an air-spaced matched doublet lens, and high-transmission coatings, the Evostar 100EDX APO Doublet Refractor from Sky-Watcher is ideal for wide-field astronomical observation of prominent nebulae, star clusters and galaxies, or for use as an astrograph for sky photography. Extra-low dispersion FPL-53 glass is treated with Sky-Watcher's proprietary Metallic High-Transmission Coatings (MHC) on all air-to-glass optical surfaces. This combination of glass, lenses, and coatings virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations for clear and bright high-contrast images with true color rendition.
The OTA requires an eyepiece or camera, a mount, and a tripod or pier for use. It comes with tube rings, a Vixen-style dovetail, camera adjuster, 1.25 to 2" adapter, a 2.8" Crayford focuser, and a thread-on dew shield.
