The ARRI PL-mount HDC-F5500V Super 35mm UHD 4K Camera Head with Variable ND Filter features a highly sensitive Super 35 4K CMOS sensor that produces shallow depth-of-field effects for a film-style look. Its global shutter eliminates "Jello" effects while delivering crisp images with extremely low noise, even in lower light, and its built-in variable ND filter enables smooth exposure transitions without having to adjust your aperture.

The Super 35 4K CMOS image sensor provides shallow depth-of-field looks while its global shutter eliminates any "Jello" effect and banding noise, enabling stable image capture even with fast-moving subjects.

IP Live Workflow-Ready

Virtual Iris Function
The virtual iris function enables you to use a single joystick on a separately available controller to adjust the lens iris, variable ND, and master gain.
Variable ND Filter Option
- An optical variable ND filter is built into the HDC-F5500V camera.
- This enables you to quickly adjust your exposure and look with the addition of the required ND license.
EVF Slider
The HDC-F5500V provides a sliding range for the EVF, enabling a broader view of the EVF without requiring operators to reposition themselves.
Unified Intercom Panel
The rear intercom panel provides a consistent layout that is familiar to Sony users worldwide. In addition to two intercom channels, this panel provides Program 3, VR tracker, and earphone outputs.
Efficient Live Production
- Designed for live production, the HDC-F5500V enables you to assign three focus positions to the preset button for quick live focusing.
- The operator can easily check their framing using multiple aspect ratios, including 4:3, 2:1, and 2.35:1.
- Viewfinder dynamic-contrast (UMBRA) adjustment lets you increase the visibility of subjects in lower-light areas for easier framing.
- Handy for crane or side monitoring, a tally marker can be selected for your monitor output.
ARIA Lens Compatibility
ARIA (Automatic Restoration of Illumination Attenuation) for compatible lenses compensates for exposure ramping and peripheral light loss with compatible zoom lenses, making the HDC-F5500V ideal for live production.
Trunk Data Transmission
Use the HDC-F5500V's LAN port and network trunk feature for high-speed data transmission between the camera and a CCU when using an IP-based setup.
