CMOS Image Sensor
The full-frame, Open Gate 6K CMOS image sensor supports up to 14 stops of dynamic range for rich, nuanced imagery. In Open Gate mode, the Vista camera captures the full sensor area, enabling a 3:2 aspect ratio and multiple cropped modes in 16:9 or 17:9 in horizontal or vertical mode. An integrated OLPF (optical low-pass filter) includes UV and IR cut filters for blocking unwanted wavelengths.
Resolution, Frame Rates, and Color
Recording options include ProRes 422 HQ up to 6K50 and UHD 4K120 for creating beautiful slow-motion sequences. Color science features include KineLOG3, built-in Rec. 709, and neutral LUTs. Use custom LUTs for monitoring or for baking in your color palette.
Flexible Recording Media
The VISTA FF 6K camera offers flexible recording options, including a built-in 220GB SSD card.
It also provides a single CFexpress Type B card slot.
Dual recording is supported using the internal storage and the card slot.
Interchangeable Lens Mount
This VISTA FF camera comes with an interchangeable Sony E mount that can be swapped out by the user for separately available Kinemount and ARRI PL lens mounts. The flexibility gives you the option to use a wide range of still photography and cine-style lenses.
Interfaces
One of the two USB-C ports provides a direct link for live streaming, monitoring, and full camera control via your iPhone and the Kine app. It can also be used for UAC wireless microphone input and firmware updates.
Use the second USB-C port to export video directly from the internal SSD or as a webcam for an iPhone, Mac, or PC host.
Use either USB-C port to provide a 5V, 2A, non-PD output for powering a Kinefinity EAGLE e-viewfinder or mobile device.
Built-in Wi-Fi 6 with an internal antenna supports dual-band 2.4/5.8 GHz for streaming and app control.
Integrated Bluetooth supports wireless remote control.
Touchscreen
Unlike earlier Kinefinity models, the VISTA FF 6K camera features an integrated 4" OLED touchscreen with 700 cd/m² brightness.
This screen flips out and rotates 360° for optimal viewing.
It offers tactile Record, Playback, and Menu buttons, 5-way navigation, and three customizable function buttons.

Can you record to an external SSD using USB-C?
Can you record to an external SSD using USB-C?
Asked by: Jason
It's very odd that people at NAB show saying it is possible but Johnnie at CineD reached Kinefinity and here is the reply he received --- "We reached out to Kinefinity, and here is their official response:
“The USB-C ports on VISTA are currently intended primarily for control, accessories, and data connectivity rather than high-speed media offloading. However, VISTA’s production firmware already includes a direct media transfer function that allows footage stored on the internal SSD to be copied directly to a CFexpress Type B card inside the camera, eliminating the need to offload via USB-C in many workflows. "
And in Kinefinity facebook group a youtube influencer ( who has the unit to review) even said the usb ports are usb 2.0 which is way too slow for fast offloading or recording ProresHQ to SSD drives via the ports.
