The 8501dn is outfitted with a speaker and a 4.3" color touchscreen that is angle-adjustable. It features USB and Ethernet ports for versatile connectivity. Clearing jams is made simpler via a print path access door on the unit's side.

HP Security
This printer is well-protected from attacks via HP Wolf Security's endpoint threat prevention. HP Sure Start automatically detects and stops BIOS attacks from occurring with little interruption to user productivity. This firmware protection launches during start-up and will repair itself if ever compromised. HP Connection Inspector monitors the printer's outgoing network connections to prevent suspicious requests and stop malware.
