Does this item serve a similar function to a Roku
Does this item serve a similar function to a Roku device? How is it different? Which of the two is best for what given purpose?
Hi Scott!
Yes, the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD serves the same core functions as a Roku device.
Both plug directly into an HDMI port on your television to turn a standard TV into a smart TV. They let you stream video, download apps, play games, and watch live TV.
In addition, The Fire Stick uses Amazon's Alexa, allowing you to control smart home devices (like lights and security cameras) directly from your TV remote.
I hope this answers your question!
