Magnus VT-4500 Video Tripod with 2-Way Fluid Head

The VT-4500 Video Tripod with 2-Way Fluid Head from Magnus is a durable and robust video camera support system for videographers and cinematographers on the go. It's constructed with sturdy aluminum three-section legs and flip locks that provide stable support in demanding environments and on location. The legs extend from a minimum height of 33.5", which is great for seated subjects, children, and low-angle shots. At maximum extension, the VT-4500 reaches 73", which will set your camera high enough to shoot over the tops of crowds and for overhead shots.

The 2-way video head has fluid action and has an adjustable pan handle for smooth and seamless camera movement. It features independent pan and tilt locks and incorporates a quick release set that includes a plate with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-60 camera screws. A bubble level, 75mm leveling ball, and self-adjusting feet ensure perfect alignment with the horizon, even on uneven surfaces like hills, curbs, and stairs.

Sturdy Aluminum Construction
The VT-4500 is built for camera stability, whether shooting on an uneven surface or in breezy conditions. A mid-level spreader ensures rigidity, even at maximum height, for video that's free of shakes and vibrations.
2-Way Fluid Head
Shoot like the pros with steady and silky-smooth camera motion. The fluid head delivers uniform and even panning for seamless, rapid moves that follow action or long pan shots of landscapes and panoramas. The spring-loaded counterbalance provides the resistance you need for perfectly smooth tilt moves. Separate pan and tilt locks will keep the camera still once it's aimed.
Three-Section Legs
Rapid setup and camera deployment are essential when rushing to capture that perfect moment. The flip locks rapidly open the tripod to its maximum height in seconds. Adjusting each leg individually is equally quick and easy. The three-section legs provide a large 40" height range for a wide variety of shooting options and then fold up to a compact 35", which is great for travel and storage.
Quick Release Plate
Easily mount and dismount your camera using the quick release system, which allows it to be locked or unlocked in seconds. 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting screws allow the VT-4500 to be used with a wide variety of cameras, video cameras, and camcorders. Attach a plate to all your cameras for rapid camera swapping if you're taking stills after a video shoot.
Camera Safety
A plate lock with a safety latch prevents the quick release plate from accidentally unlocking when removing or tilting your camera. The plate is compatible with the Manfrotto 501 plate system.
Level, Stable, and Still
The head attaches to the tripod with a 75mm leveling ball that can level your camera in seconds. The integrated bubble level ensures your camera is level for shots and pans that are parallel with the horizon. A mid-level spreader offers an additional layer of stability that prevents swaying or vibrations from compromising your video.
Self-Adjusting Rubber Feet
The self-adjusting rubber feet won't slip on highly polished surfaces like a gym floor or pool deck. When setting up on an uneven surface, the feet automatically conform to the ground, so the tripod won't wobble while you're working.

Magnus DWF-2 Universal Tripod Dolly

The Magnus DWF-2 Universal Tripod Dolly presents a simple, affordable way to put your tripod on wheels. The dolly features 2" ball-bearing metal/rubber wheels that feature revolving assemblies. That means you can steer your tripod along any line imaginable to capture a smooth tracking shot.

The DWF-2 dolly bears loads up to 33 lb and features adjustable clamps to lock just about any size of tripod foot into place securely. Mounting a tripod is easy: Just line up each tripod foot and twist the thumb screws to tighten each clamp.

Each leg bar extends up to 4.9" to accommodate tripods of various dimensions, and flip locks secure the extension. Fully extended, the dolly has a doorway width of 31". With step-on locks for each wheel, you can easily transform your rolling tripod into a sturdy lock-down mount for your camera.

Two of the legs fold down to create a compact package for transport – the dolly folds down to just 17 x 5".

Step on the wheel locks to brake the spinning of the wheels and the rotation of the wheel assemblies
Spring-loaded stoppers automatically lock the legs in the open position when they're rotated out - easily pull them up to rotate the legs back into the closed position
Sturdy carry handle
Hook & loop strap to secure legs in a tidy package for transport

Bought this for Video Production. Honestly, it's great. Sturdy, easy to raise and put away. Love the fluid head on it too!

Solid tripod and it supports Manfrotto 501 Plates!

The first thing that made me love the Magnus VT-4500 tripod even before I received it is that it is not only designed to accommodate Manfrotto plates, it comes with one included. To me, that is a game changer because I use that type and brand of plates on everything. This means all my cameras, field recorders, or any equipment I want to place on top of this tripod is ready in seconds, with no time wasted modifying or changing plates. This is my fourth tripod from Magnus, and all of them support the 501 plate. I love it. It also accepts very long plates if you have. I do and use it a lot on heavier cameras for maximum gravity center balance. Another feature I absolutely love is that I can drop latch the camera instead of using the traditional sliding mechanism. It is so much better. And do not worry: it has a safety latch that prevents the quick release plate from accidentally unlocking when removing or tilting your camera. I have many tripods that work this way, and once you try it, you do not want to go back to any other mounting system. There is a 3/8 16 screw conveniently located right underneath the plate system, so you never lose it. There is also a HEX wrench stored nearby, which is very convenient. The featured 75mm leveling ball can level your camera in seconds. A lot of people I see, including my other videographers, they all have / use the ball system. However, I would love to see Magnus to also make telescopic column tripods in the future, which to my preference is a more precise way of elevating the camera even an inch to 4 feet elevation without adjusting or touching the tripod legs. Tripods with a ball mount system, I often use as a B camera. The tripod has three section legs that fold up to a compact 35 inches and fits in the included padded case. It can hold payloads of up to 17.6 pounds or 8 kilograms and extends to a maximum height of 73 inches or 185.4 centimeters, tall enough for most applications. Regarding the fluid system, you cannot adjust the amount of fluidity, but it came with the perfect fluidity, somewhere in the middle... I put a full size Sony pro camcorder, as well as a Canon R3 with a 70 to 200mm lens, on it. It allowed me to pan and tilt, including diagonally using pan and tilt at the same time, without any micro jerking or anything that would ruin precise panning, so no worries there. Panning ant tilting and the way you hold the handle will depend on your skill levels too. I also included a mini video attached to this review so you can see the tripod in action as well as some stills. To view them, you must use the full desktop B&H website, as the app no longer supports customer images. Overall, I am very happy with this tripod. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.]
