Don't get me wrong! These are the best choice for cleaning up old oxide on tape-recorder heads and parts. And I actually miss the days when reel-to-reel recorders were the main machines for recording and playing back tape recordings. (Sigh). The earthy real-ness (reel?) of analog audio recording is a wonder to listen to from those old-time quality recorders. Yeah, over the last dozens of years, digital audio recorders are the simplest, and cleanest way of getting your recordings recorded, but those old analog reel-to-reels really did a phenomenal job of getting those great tracks down.
