Experience the pedal that helped shape the sound of rock and metal with the DOD 250-X 10th Edition from DigiTech, an overdrive and preamp pedal with an authentic vintage design. Sporting two extra boosting modes and a distinctive finish, this pedal appeals to collectors and players alike.
The DOD 250-X offers up three boosting modes: a Silicon mode that uses an authentic LM741 op-amp for classic 250 bite and grind, an Asym asymmetric mode for even-order clipping that delivers a distinct tone with excellent touch response, and a Lift mode that removes diode clipping, for use as a clean boost or preamp. The pedal is constructed from durable yet lightweight aluminum. This overdrive pedal supports both 9V battery operation and power adapters with outputs up to 18V (both sold separately).
Since production of this was limited to a total of only 1974 units, it was no surprise that the demand exceeded the supply. To satisfy guitarists who missed out on that one-time opportunity to snag an instant collectors’ item, but who still yearn for the new features and killer sound of the 250 50th, DigiTech is excited to offer the same features in a standard model at a non-limited-edition price. In case you are wondering what the X in 250-X means, this is the 10th iteration of the 250 Overdrive/Preamp since its inception in the mid 1970s.
