Multi-Aspect BSI CMOS Sensor
20.4MP Four Thirds Sensor
Offering the option to shoot 4:3, 3:2, 1:1, or 16:9 aspect ratios with no angle of view compromises, the Multi-Aspect sensor design lets you capture a shot once and then select your ratio later while maintaining full 20.4MP, uncropped output. The sensor itself is a Four Thirds-format BSI CMOS sensor, offering impressive noise performance, an ISO 100-25600 range, and high clarity in a variety of lighting conditions, along with a speedy 30 fps burst shooting rate.
5.6K & 4K Video
In addition to stills, this is a proven sensor for high-quality video work, offering 5.6K 30p and DCI 4K 120p recording in 4:2:0 10-bit or DCI 4K 60p recording in 4:2:2 10-bit. The Multi-Aspect sensor enables open gate recording to suit shooting in a variety of aspect ratios for social media output and the camera also incorporates V-Log for more control over color grading in post. Additionally, there is a new MP4 Lite recording mode that keeps file sizes small and easy to share and upload to social media sites.
Real Time LUTs and Photo Styles
Benefitting both stills and videos, the L10 allows applying Real Time LUTs while shooting for more creative color styles in-camera. Film-inspired Photo Styles, like L.Classic and L.Classic Gold can be used for either medium and the LUMIX Lab app can also be used to customize and apply looks instantly so photos and videos are ready to share right away.
Leica DC Vario-Summilux 24-75mm Lens
Fast, Flexible Zoom
Matching the versatility of the sensor, the camera also integrates a Leica-design DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 zoom, which offers a 24-75mm full-frame equivalent field of view. This standard zoom suits everyday shooting, from portraiture to landscapes, and the bright f/1.7-2.8 maximum aperture range is ideal for available-light shooting and for controlling depth of field with selective focus. Additionally, the lens can focus as close as 1.2" away for macro-like performance when photographing close-up subjects.
Autofocus and Image Stabilization
Advanced AI-based subject detection recognizes and locks onto eyes, faces, pets, vehicles, and other moving subjects for quick, precise, and smooth focus performance. This hybrid phase-detection and contrast-detection system performs in a variety of lighting conditions and is well-matched to both photo and video recording methods.
Additionally, POWER O.I.S. (optical image stabilization) helps steady handheld shots for sharper results, especially when working in low-light conditions and with slower shutter speeds.
Body Design
EVF and LCD
Despite the compact design, the camera features both a viewfinder and a rear monitor. The finder is a 0.39" OLED panel with 2.36m-dot resolution that is bright and clear for eye-level viewing in a variety of lighting conditions. Complementing this is a 3.0" 1.84m-dot free-angle touchscreen LCD screen, which can be adjusted to suit working at low and high working angles.
Stylish and Functional Aesthetics
A standout feature of the L10 is its premium streamlined appearance, which is distinguished by a Saffiano leatherette textured grip and intuitive mechanical controls on the body.
The lens has a manual aperture ring, there is an aspect ratio selector dial surrounding the lens, and the top of the camera has two selection dials for quick settings adjustments.
Top hot shoe permits working with an external flash.
Included DMW-BLK22 lithium-ion battery provides around 420 shots per charge with the LCD or 410 shots per charge with the EVF.
Single SD memory card slot and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity permits file transfers and remote camera settings control.
USB-C can be used for in-camera battery charging, data transfer, or for UVC-compliant livestreaming.
3.5mm microphone input permits working with external mics while recording video.

Panasonic L10 Reviews
Like having an old friend back

I had a LX100 a number of years ago and I truly enjoyed shooting with it. I sold that camera and came to miss it a lot. The L10 is like seeing an old friend return. This version if you can call it that, is very familiar and yet I like the new features like the programmable switch on top of the lens, which I use to control the zoom in steps. I believe this works quicker than using the rocker switch. I also like the new battery which is bigger and as a result the L10 is also bigger but not by much. The battery lasts much longer with makes that trade off easier to swallow. Focusing is also much faster. Overall, I am really enjoying this camera and makes a better EDC than the cameras that I currently own.

I sold my D’Lux 8 to preorder the LUMIX L10 due to the upgraded features. Really pleased so far with the many photos I have taken and a few videos. Looking forward to taking this camera on my upcoming trip to Europe. I also have the OM3 and and several lenses.
