Each tank holds 15mL of non-toxic, VG (vegetable glycerin) based liquid, and attaches to the battery portion of the system via a magnetic mechanism, assuring the unit doesn't easily fall out or become dislodged. Having extra tanks on hand reduces refilling time and allows for less interruption of the fog effects.
