First introduced in 1998, the Transient Designer pioneered level-independent dynamic processing, allowing engineers and producers to shape the attack and sustain characteristics of audio signals without being influenced by signal level.

Combining 100% analog sound with full digital control, the Transient Designer delivers the sonic character of the original design with the convenience and precision of digitally managed operation within the SEPIA system. Its unique processing approach makes it easy to dramatically reshape the energy, punch, and decay of individual sounds or complex material.
Simple, Powerful Dynamic Shaping
The intuitive interface requires just two controls per channel to transform a sound's transient response. The Attack control boosts or attenuates the attack phase by up to 15 dB, making it easy to add punch to drums, tighten percussive material, or soften overly aggressive transients. The Sustain control adjusts the decay phase by up to 24 dB, allowing you to extend ambience and resonance or shorten ringing and tail length for tighter, more controlled results.
