Yamaha RX300A Reviews

Not bad for a low end model

Well i had a low end Sony. It lasted exactly one year and two weeks. I got that as a retirement gift from where I worked at otherwise I would not have replaced my 14 year-old Onkyo. But it did not have any HDMI inputs. So I got this Yamaha, and it has a great ability with its microphone to balance the room better than my ears could compared to the Sony. I'm very impressed how cool it runs, looking through the cabinet vents. It's almost half heat sinks. And it's not that lightweight it's got some heft to it. I doubt it's like a 1970s amp but it's got a decent transformer. But I like the little guy , works good for my 5.2 surround

Can you play a turntable on it?

Can you play a turntable on it?
Asked by: Larry
Your turntable would either need to have a phono preamp built in, or it would need to be connected to a standalone phono preamp, and then you can connect it to the Yamaha RX300A 5.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver.
