The ND filters reduce light from entering the camera lens by 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 stops, respectively. The light reduction lets you manage different daytime lighting conditions in order to capture properly exposed videos and images, as well as shoot in slower shutter speeds. With the ND256 filter, you can not only handle extremely bright sunlight, but also achieve motion blur. The CPL filter works to reduce reflections from nonmetallic surfaces, such as water and glass, as well as boost saturation and contrast.
