Get your flash off-camera and diffused while keeping it connected to your camera using this Bracket & Bounce from Platypod. This bracket assembly combines a camera bracket with a 17" reflector and a rotating bounce bracket for a speedlight, making it easier to achieve diffused, well-angled lighting without having to continually reposition your speedlight.
Platypod Bracket
CNC-machined aluminum bracket featuring two embedded titanium bolts for maximum strength with minimal weight.
Custom Arca-Type Clamp
Designed to be mounted forward-facing, rear-facing, or side-facing, making it compatible with still-photo Arca plates, video plates, and lens collar feet.
D-Ring Bolts
3/8"-16 D-ring bolt features a straight slot head with integrated 4 mm hex socket for fast tool-free or tool-assisted tightening to secure the Arca compatible clamp. 1/4"-20 D-ring bolt with straight-slot head and integrated 4mm hex socket for attachment of cameras and other 1/4 inch devices directly to the bracket without the intervening clamp. A 4mm hex wrench is included for assembly and magnetically attaches to the underside of the bracket.
Bounce Assembly
The speedlight bounce assembly is composed of a lower brace with a wing nut, a 10" support rod, an upper brace with a pivot, and a reflector clamp. It is designed for fast setup and smooth repositioning on the fly. An all-metal flash cold shoe clamp is also incorporated for rock-solid speedlight mounting.
Platypod Handle
A versatile, telescoping handle (6"-10.5") designed to mount directly on the bracket for added control and support. Includes a 3/8"-16 bolt cap and eight 1/4"-20 threaded hard points, making it easy to attach elbows, goosenecks, monitors, and other accessories. An additional 1/4"-20 handle cap is included to expand compatibility with lighter cameras and accessories.
17" Reflector & Carrying Cases
A 17" reflector is provided to bounce the light. A 7" pouch is provided for easy storage of the reflector. Additionally, a custom nylon travel bag is included to safely stow the bracket assembly for travel.
