Delivering a bright, direct voice, ILIO Naada Trumpet is a virtual instrument for the GeoShred Studio platform that offers real-time the full dynamic range of this instrument, from pianissimo to fortissimo, via GeoShred Studio's multi-row continuous pitch surface. With advanced AccelMatrix Naada physical modeling, each note is generated as a continuous acoustic event.
By pressing into the grid you can shape lip tension dynamics, breath articulation, mute timbres, and vibrato, letting you push from a soft, veiled tone into full brass projection. By sliding across the pitch surface you can utilize smooth glissandi and pitch inflections. You can also engage in fully polyphonic playing, supporting brass section chords, layered horn lines, or sustained notes under independent solo phrases. Use GeoShred Studio's integrated FX rack for sweetening your performance with reverb, amp simulation, echo, and more. Naada Trumpet requires GeoShred Studio (sold separately) to function, which is available in AU, AU3, VST3, or standalone formats for macOS only.
Trumpets in their most primitive forms appear in the archaeological record of ancient Egypt, Scandinavia, China, and the Aztec civilization; the valved chromatic trumpet emerged in 1818 and quickly became the soprano lead voice of the brass section. The model captures the full dynamic arc from a contained pianissimo to a blazing fortissimo.
GeoShred Control connects an iPhone or iPad via USB to serve as a dedicated multitouch performance surface alongside GeoShred Studio. MPE-compatible hardware and wind or breath controllers also connect directly for hands-on expressive control.
