Although this Profoto RFI series grid has not been tested with the Broncolor 30 x 180 cm Softbox, there is a compatible grid option with the Broncolor 40° Soft Light Grid for Softbox (1 x 5.9'), BH # BRSGSB159 https://bhpho.to/3GLCD6E

The Profoto RFi 50° Softgrid for 4' Octa (B&H# PRSGRO4) is a grid that is a separate purchase from the Profoto RFi Octa Softbox (4') (B&H# PRSBOR4) for which it was designed.

Is this compatible with the OCF II softbox?
Asked by: Carter
No, the Profoto 50° Softgrid for 3.0 x 4.0' RFi Softbox is only for the Profoto RFi 3.0 x 4.0' Softbox, BH # PRSBR34. If you are looking for a grid for the Profoto OCF Softbox (2 x 3'), BH # PROCFSB23, then you will need to get the Profoto Softgrid for OCF Softbox (2x3'), BH # PROCFG23.

question

Will this grid work with the older RF 2 x 3' Softbox?
Asked by: Anonymous
The RFi has about a 2 lip that allows the Velcro outer surface of the grid to attach to the lip of the RFi. I notice that the HR soft boxes do not have as deep of a lip but the grid looks very similar, it just sticks out along the edges a little. I would assume that if the RF has a lip around the edge with Velcro on it then the grid will be able to connect but you might contact Profoto to make sure.

question

Does this grid really narrows the beam spread?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes! - I shoot dancers on seamless and it allows me to get rid of spill onto the background when needed. dB
